Our dental office is conveniently located in the heart of Maple, in the Maple Plaza (above Nature’s Emporium). We are right on Major Mackenzie Dr W, between Jane and Keele St., at the corner of Netherford Road. There is an alleyway right beside LA Hair Design, that leads up to the second floor. We are in Suite 211.
Yes, we are always happy to welcome new patients to our office. As we are a family dental practice, we see patients from age 1 to 101. Indeed, the greatest compliment that we can receive is the referral of family and friends.
We do accept direct payments from insurance plans (when your insurance allows), and will be happy to assist patients in filing their claim, and navigating the often found complexities of dental insurance. Our office understands the value of insurance benefits to our patients. If you have dental insurance, we ask you to bring the necessary information from your insurance company. Any balance remaining (co-payment) from any dental treatment will be collected on the same day as services are rendered. For your convenience, we provide the following payments options: cash, debit, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and American Express).
Absolutely. This is one of the key aspects that sets our office apart. Dr. Zhu has always recognized that his patient’s time is equally as important. Therefore, you can rest assured that you will be seen on time at your scheduled appointment by both Dr. Zhu and your hygienists.
As a courtesy to both our staff and our other patients, we do ask for 2 business days notice to cancel any scheduled appointment. Should you miss an appointment or have a need to cancel short notice, there will be a fee ($100.00) charged for the visit. A second missed appointment will unfortunately result in a dismissal from our dental practice. Our office policy is in place to respect both the valuable time of our staff, as well as other patients who would have benefitted from that time. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
We provide services in all facets of dentistry including general and cosmetic dentistry, extractions, root canals, children’s dentistry, implants, and Invisalign. While we make every effort to solve all your dental issues in office, if we feel your best interest would be served by referring you to an appropriate specialist, we would do so after discussing all available options with you.
Unfortunately, our plaza does not provide an elevator to the second floor. Our landlord has earnestly tried to design an elevator to fit our existing space, but due to architectural difficulties, it is not possible. We would be happy to provide a referral to another dental office that is wheelchair accessible.
The Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends the first visit by age 1. The first visit is called a “Happy Visit” where your child will go for a ride in the dental chair, and we will take a quick look in the mouth to make sure everything looks great. And they will leave with a little toy. Any visits under age 3 are complimentary, as our main goal is to provide a happy environment for your child, and to make sure any issues are addressed at a young age to maintain a healthy mouth for the future.
Our fees are based on the care, skill, judgment and time needed to provide appropriate treatment. In general, our office follows the Ontario Fee Guide, as set out by the Ontario Dental Association. We believe in open communication, and will carefully discuss treatment and associated fees with our patients prior to beginning any treatment. It is our desire to help our patients overcome any financial barriers that they may encounter in achieving the excellent oral health that you deserve.
